Redeemer Christian Reformed Church
Welcome to Redeemer CRC, Sarnia. We invite you to listen to the Bible readings and the messages we listened to during our Sunday morning worship gatherings. The Bible readings are from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount as revealed in the Gospel of Matthew. At the beginning of His public ministry, a large crowd had gathered around Jesus. It was the setting in which Jesus revealed what was central to His life and ministry. Jesus spoke about how everyday life is renewed by the Kingdom of God.
For too long and too often we have made the focus of Jesus ministry too small. We have read Jesus through our lenses of what happens to us after we die. We listen to Jesus to be assured we are saved from Hell and are given a place in heaven. What happens after death indeed is important. But that is not the focus of Jesus ministry. Jesus reveals, invites and empowers us to begin living today the way God always intended life to be lived. His Sermon on the Mount opens our eyes to live everyday life by the standards of God’s coming kingdom.
How the Kingdom of God changes us and changes life as we know it is what makes up the details of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. I hope and pray that the Good News of God’s Kingdom (re)shaping everyday life will bring God’s joy into your life.
Be blessed in God’s care.

OUR LATEST SERMON
A Worrisome Trilogy: Moths, Rust and Theft
February 26, 2017
Sunday Morning - 9:30 am
Jesus introduces us into everyday Kingdom of God living by having us consider our need to make good choices. How do we judge the choices made by those we are closest to? How do we make good choices between opposing views? Is tolerance for whatever—learning to live in a post-truth world, our new reality? Jesus would have us make good choices by asking, seeking and knocking on heaven’s door for wisdom in navigating our way.
Sunday Evening - 6:30 pm
Small groups meet Sunday evenings on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. If you are interested in joining a small group, connect with the Education Team.
