Thanks for visiting Redeemer Christian Reformed Church’s, Sarnia, Ontario website. This is the season of Lent in the Christian Church. The six Sundays of Lent begins on February 26 and ends on Easter Sunday, April 8.
Originally Lent was the season in which converts to the Christian faith received the basic training of what it meant to be a Christian. The six weeks of training culminated in the person receiving the sacrament of baptism and being welcomed into a life of “following Jesus”.
It is in this same spirit that I will be writing my messages for Lent. I will focus on the seven words that Jesus spoke from the cross, listening in particular how Christ’s cross words orient us towards what life in the Kingdom of God looks like for everyday, following-Jesus kind of living.
I hope that Christ’s cross words will be a blessing for you.
