My messages for the months of August and September will
(mostly) come from one of the Bible’s oldest story: The story of Joseph, son
of Jacob and Rachel. Joseph played a lead role in the formation of a
people—the people of Israel. Israel at different times in her history
returned to the story of Joseph to understand her role of being “chosen” by
God and of living the dream of “being His chosen people”. What did they see
in the Joseph story, and just as important, what do we see?
